A long rod usually provides the most accurate cast because you can cast farther and with less effort than with a short rod.
Short rods, on the other hand, are more manageable and easier to handle. Furthermore, the chances of snagging or tangling the line with trees or bushes are lessened. It is also easier and less strenuous to reel in a large fish because of the narrow angle between line and rod.
